Im loving Scentsy!!!!!
Im loving this "flameless" way to scent your house!!! They are so cute and the smells are WONDERFUL!!!!
I have one of these in black!!!

They have a lot of other ones to choose from as well!! I'm wanting a "plug-in" for the bathroom!
Also i love that i can plug these in and then go about my day with out being afraid that if i leave it plugged in my house will catch on fire! Favorite smells so far: blueberry cheesecake and Luna!
Next I am loving Cooking Light Magazine!
Im all about healthy delicious meals!! And this magazine has some great ones!

Also, at the end of each magazine they print, they have section that teaches you common errors and mistakes most cooks make and how to cook it better! I love that because as much as I love to cook-I still need all the help I can get!!
Fun fact: the proper way to cook bacon is in the OVEN!!! WHO KNEW!!!?!?!?!?
This summer I have been a part of another Beth Moore Bible study, Breaking Free!
It is just wonderful!!!- Hard sometimes- but great!!!
Man, I love that Beth Moore! She is just hilarious and always says exactly what I'm thinking!

Finally, if you know me-you know I'm a book-a-holic. And recently, my sweet friend Shanny has let me borrow her book called "The Blue Castle." I got it on Monday and Im currently on page 142. The first part of the book was a bit slow, and sad and dreary. But its definitely picking up! The book is written by Lucy Maud Montgomery (the author of the Anne of Green Gables books) in 1921 after a rough time in her life! Its very interesting and I cant wait to see where it goes! So many people have just raved about it! So I'm hopeful!

Next, I saw this picture on Twitter the other day!!!!

This cutie-pants-yorkie-mix was lost and was looking for a home!!!!!!! I just about died wanting him ....but sadly he is in California.....and I can not get him :(((( HEART.BREAK.
Lastly as part of the "Wednesday Loves" I am going to do a recipe review of two of the Pioneer Woman's Recipes I cooked last week. As a part of my "review" I will rate the meal on Taste, Difficulty, Amount of ingredients (because the amount of ingredients involved correlates with the amount of money you will spend buying the ingredients), How much it smells up a house (which, note the Scentsy mentioned above, I'm all about having a good smelling house), How many times we can eat on the meal, how messy your kitchen is afterwards AND just an overall score of would I make it again.
Yes it alot of scoring but it will go quickly. Each will be scored 1-10 , 10 is the best.
I first cooked her Beef Stir-Fry (with rice noodles, not rice) entitled "Beef with Pepper"
found here: http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2011/03/beef-with-peppers/
Anyways...
Taste: 6 for me 7 for my husband. I'm a bit picky about Chinese style food and this was just a one note taste and that was just "OK" to me.
Difficulty: 81/2 The words "honey will you...." came out of my mouth possibly 10 times while making this...which an average meal usually has me asking my husband for his help just once (usually to drain pasta and etc. ITS JUST SO HEAVY!)
Amount of ingredient: 9- it had me chasing around the grocery store looking for "chile paste" --what in the world is chile paste?! I finally found it....
House Smells: 10 no 11.5 ---it was bad yall, i mean real bad. My house smelled for DAYS- PLURAL!!!
How many times we ate it: twice.....the day of and the next day...I was just DONE after that.
Kitchen mess: 10 - all i can say is YIKES.
Overall score: 4 we wont be making this dish again. Between the ok taste and the smelly house...I just refuse to do it again.
But dont get me wrong- I LOOOVE some Pioneer Woman!!!!
Next I did her Penne a la Betsy!
found here: http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2007/09/cooking_with_my_punk-ass_little_sister_penne_a_la_betsy/
Taste: 9 I was thinking about eating it all day the next day as well!
Difficulty: 6.5 I Pioneer woman is never an "easy" cook- but usually is well worth the effort!
Amount of ingredients: 6 not bad
HOuse Smells: 6- nothing my Scentsy's couldnt handle! Plus this gave off a delicious smell!
How many times we ate it: twice for dinner, then my husband has taken it to for lunch once- he likes it enough to eat it 3 times!
Kitchen mess: 6 i gave it a 6 only because when you make the sauce, watch out because it will slosh everywhere if you stir it too fast...other wise- it wasnt bad!
Overall Score: 8.5 We WILL be having this dish again!!!!
Ok, I'm off to figure out what my husband and I will be eating next week!
Ta Ta!
Kate
you are so precious :)
